NEW YORK, SAN FRANCISCO, LONDON — Code and Theory’s work with Nautilus, Variety, Upwave, DuJour, Maybelline New York, and Mashable has been recognized across nine categories for a total of 6 nominations and 3 honors in the 18th Annual Webby Awards.

Literary science publication Nautil.us scored three nominations for Best Science Website, Best Visual Design (Aesthetic), and Best Navigation / Structure, and an honoree mention in the Best Homepage category. Since its debut in May 2013, Nautilus has received a number of prestigious design accolades, including the World's Best Designed News Site award from the Society for News Design, and an Eddie and Ozzie Award for Best Consumer Website and Best Site Design.

The new Variety.com, launched in March 2013, was nominated for Best News Website alongside top-tier publications like The New York Times, Guardian, Wired, and Rolling Stone.

Turner Broadcasting System’s upwave.com ­– the digital hub for the company’s new multi-platform lifestyle brand focused on health and wellness – was nominated for Best Health Website.

DuJour, the print-digital hybrid luxury lifestyle magazine founded by Jason Binn in collaboration with the Gilt Groupe in 2012, was nominated for Best Magazine. In 2012, DuJour won the Webby Award for Best Homepage.

Maybelline New York’s Pinterest page received an honoree mention in the social content category for Best Fashion / Beauty Page.

Mashable’s app for Android was honored in the Mobile & Apps Category for Best Practices. The app launched in August 2013 with great success, surpassing 10,000+ downloads in 10 days.
